(House Bill 1122)

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Alcoholic
Beverages (Board of License Commissioners)

FOR the purpose of changing the annual salary of the
part-time chief inspector of the Board of License
Commissioners in Anne Arundel County; changing the
annual salary of the attorney to the Board; and
altering the number of total inspectors appointed for
Anne Arundel County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 158(d)(2)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

158.

(d) In Anne Arundel County

(2) In addition to the powers given to the board
of license commissioners for Anne Arundel County in
subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the board is
authorized to employ one part-time chief inspector at an
annual salary of [$4,100] $5,000, and ten part-time
inspectors at an annual salary of $3,000 each. In addition
to this salary, each of the inspectors shall receive a
monthly expense of $125 per month, subject to the approval
of the State Comptroller. The [nine] ELEVEN inspectors
appointed for Anne Arundel County have all the powers of a
peace officer or a constable or sheriff of the State of
Maryland, and shall make oath to faithfully perform the
duties entrusted to them, as provided in Article 1, § 6 of
