(House Bill 183)

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Oysters - Tonging

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the taking of oysters by
patent tongs in certain waters in Anne Arundel County;
and making this Act an emergency measure.

Section 4-1011(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-1011.

(E) A PERSON MAY NOT USE PATENT TONGS TO CATCH OYSTERS
IN THE SOUTH RIVER IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY ABOVE AND WEST OF
A STRAIGHT LINE DRAWN BETWEEN THOMAS POINT AND SAUNDERS
POINT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning

Veterans - Cemeteries

FOR the purpose of providing certain burial rights in State
veterans' cemeteries to certain veterans who entered
the armed services as residents of Maryland or who
lived in the State for a certain period; and generally
relating to State veterans' cemeteries.
