BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 21-902(c)
Annotated code of Maryland
(1977 Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Transportation
21-902.

(c) (1) A person may not drive or attempt to drive any
vehicle while he is so far under the influence of any drug,
any combination of drugs, or [any] A combination of ONE OR
MORE drugs and alcohol that he cannot drive a vehicle
safely.

(2) It is not a defense to any charge of
violating this subsection that the person charged is or was
entitled under the laws of this State to use the drug,
combination of drugs, or combination of ONE OR MORE drugs
and alcohol, unless the person was unaware that the drug or
combination would make him incapable of safely driving a
vehicle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Charles County - Salary Review Board

FOR the purpose of requiring the Charles county Board of
County Commissioners to establish a Salary Review Board
in Charles County consisting of certain members;
allowing the Board to meet from time to time to review
the salaries of the County officials; and providing for
the applicability of this Act.
