BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Somerset County
Section 37

Article 20 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1977 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 20 - Somerset County

37.

Each bona fide active member of any volunteer fire
department in Somerset County shall be exempt from taxation
for municipal purposes in the town where such fire
department is located [to the extent of one thousand dollars
($1,000.00)] IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,000 UPON THE
PASSAGE OF THE APPROPRIATE ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION BY THE
MUNICIPALITY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Borrowing Money)

FOR the purpose of providing that all moneys borrowed by the
County Commissioners or the Liquor Control Board in
Worcester County shall bear interest at a rate not to
exceed a certain percent per annum.
