SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

20.

(1-2) In Somerset County, the annual fee for such a
license shall be two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) and
shall be issued to the following organizations:

(2) Any lodge or chapter of a bona fide
nonprofit and nationwide fraternal or sororal organization
composed of members duly elected and initiated in accordance
with the rites and customs of such fraternal or sororal
organization, in existence and operating in the county for a
period of not less than five years prior to the time of
making application for this license, having a bona fide
membership of not less than [thirty-five (35)] 25 persons,
charging dues of not less than fifteen dollars ($15.00)
annually for each member, owning or operating a home or
clubhouse principally for the use of its members and their
guests when accompanied by such members, and not directly or
indirectly owned or operated as a public business.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
