13-302. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO HELP DISADVANTAGED AND
LOW-INCOME CITIZENS OF THIS STATE TO BUY HOMES THROUGH LOANS
AT A PREFERRED INTEREST RATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as the
first sentence of Art. 41, § 266FF-1.

The present reference to the establishment of the
Program now appears in § 13-305 of this subtitle.

The only other changes are in style.

13-305. PROGRAM ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A HOME FINANCING PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT.

first clause of Art. 41, § 266FF-1.

The only changes are in style.

The last sentence of present Art. 41, § 266FF—1,
which requires the Department to manage and
supervise the program, now appears in § 13—306 (b)
of this subtitle.

13-306. GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF DEPARTMENT.

(A)       IN GENERAL.

IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIFIC POWERS GRANTED AND DUTIES
IMPOSED BY THIS SUBTITLE, THE DEPARTMENT HAS THE POWERS AND
DUTIES SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to indicate clearly that the powers and duties
enumerated in this section are not exclusive.

(B)   SUPERVISION OF PROGRAM.
THE DEPARTMENT SHALL:

(1) MANAGE AND SUPERVISE THE PROGRAM; AND
