Regulatory Programs Evaluation Act of     1978, see
Art. 41, § 484 et seq. of the Code.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE;

Present Art. 23, § 161UU, which exempts officers and
directors from personal liability on contracts of the
Corporation, is deleted as unnecessary in that it restates a
standard principle of corporation law.

Present Art. 23, § 161YY, which provides for the
acceptance of initial members, is deleted as obsolete.

Present Art. 23, § 161ZZ, which requires the board of
directors to file a certificate of commencement of business
after the organization meeting, and present Art. 23, §
161AAA, which would have terminated the existence of the
Corporation if it had failed to insure accounts before April
1, 1964, are both deleted as obsolete.

TITLE 11. CONSUMER CREDIT.

SUBTITLE 1. COMMISSIONER OF CONSUMER CREDIT.

11-101. "COMMISSIONER" DEFINED.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, "COMMISSIONER" MEANS THE COMMISSIONER
OF CONSUMER CREDIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language added to
avoid unnecessary repetition in this subtitle of
the full title of the Commissioner.

See also § 1—101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

11-102. OFFICE ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS A COMMISSIONER OF CONSIDER CREDIT IN THE
DEPARTMENT OF LICENSING AND REGULATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first two
clauses of Art. 41, § 192.

The word "in" is substituted tor the phrase
"shall be a part of" as standard terminology and
for brevity. See, e.g., § 2—101 of this article,
as to the Bank Commissioner.

It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.
