In subsection (b) (2) of this section, the phrase
"{i}n the Maryland Register" is added for clarity
and to standardize a common provision for
publication.

"Board of Commissioners" is defined in § 9-101 of
this title.

9-207. HEARING ON APPLICATION.

AFTER A HEARING HELD UNDER § 9-206 OF THIS SUBTITLE,
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL DETERMINE IF:

(1)       THE CHARACTER, RESPONSIBILITY, AND GENERAL
FITNESS OF THE INCORPORATORS COMMAND CONFIDENCE AND WARRANT
BELIEF THAT THE BUSINESS OF THE PROPOSED SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION WILL BE CONDUCTED HONESTLY AND EFFICIENTLY, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTENT OF THIS TITLE; AND

(2)       THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SAVINGS AND LOAN
ASSOCIATION AND ITS LOCATION WILL PROMOTE THE PUBLIC
INTEREST, CONVENIENCE, AND ADVANTAGE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as all
but the first sentence of CA § 6-208(c).

In item (2) of this section, the phrase "and its
location" is added for clarity since it is a
major consideration of the Board of Commissioners
and presumably reflects legislative intent.

The only other changes are in style.

"Board of Commissioners" and "savings and loan
association" are defined in § 9-101 of this
title.

9-208. APPROVAL OR REFUSAL; APPEAL.

(A)       CHANGES IN ARTICLES.

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY REQUIRE ANY CHANGE IN
THE PROPOSED ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OR BYLAWS THAT THE
BOARD CONSIDERS NECESSARY.

(B)       ORDER ON APPLICATION.

NOT LATER THAN 60 DAYS AFTER THE ARTICLES ARE FILED FOR
EXAMINATION AND AFTER THE HEARING REQUIRED BY § 9-206 OF
THIS SUBTITLE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL PASS AN
ORDER APPROVING OR REFUSING THE APPLICATION TO ORGANIZE.

(C)       APPEAL FROM ORDER.

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER OF THE BOARD OF
