Chapter 11

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Chapter 26, title "Housing
Standards", of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended,
by repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section 26-1,
title "Definitions", Section 26-5, title "Minimum standards
for basic equipment and facilities", Section 26-6, title
"Minimum standards for light, ventilation and heating" and
Section 26-9 thereof, title "Minimum space, use and location
requirements", to provide definitions for mobile home and
recreational vehicle, to establish mobile homes as
dwellings, to establish mobile homes as not being temporary
housing, to require plumbing systems in mobile homes be
protected from freezing, to require and describe two exit
doors which assure safe egress from mobile homes, to require
and describe windows which permit emergency egress from
sleeping rooms in mobile homes, to establish the
requirements and standards for foundations and tie downs for
mobile homes, to establish and describe the lighting and
ventilation requirements for mobile homes, to establish and
describe the sleeping space requirements for mobile homes.

AN EMERGENCY ACT to amend Chapter 54, title "Transient
Lodging Facilities", Article III, Trailer Coach Parks,
Section 54-42, title "Definitions", to amend the definition
of "Trailer coach park", to amend Section 54-57, title
"Parking of trailers outside park - Generally", by adding
language referencing mobile homes as permitted in the Zoning
Ordinance; to amend Section 54-58, title "Same - Additions,
removal of wheels" by adding language referencing mobile
homes as permitted in the Zoning Ordinance.

Effective Date August 28, 1978.
