Bill No. 161-79

AN ACT to change the name of the Industrial Development
Commission to Economic Development Commission, by repealing
and re-enacting with amendments, Sections 2-41 through 2-52
of Article VI. Industrial Development Commission, title
"Administration" of the Baltimore County Code, 1968, and by
redesignating said Article VI. Economic Development
Commission of said title and code.

AN ACT to establish a fee for permits for business or
industrial use of trailers pursuant to Section 415.4.b. and
c. of the Baltimore County Zoning Regulations, by adding new
subsection (c) to Section 5-6, title "Buildings" of the
Baltimore County Code, 1968.

Bill No. 177-79

AN ACT to provide for the extension of the Plan In
Progress legislation, by repealing Section 22-16, Article
II. Planning, title "Planning, Zoning and Subdivision
Control", of the Baltimore County Code, 1978, and enacting a
new Section 22-16 in lieu thereof under said article, title
and code, said new section to be known as the Plan in
Progress Act, which plan and legislation have already been
the subject of extensive public hearings, reports and
recommendations by the Planning Board of Baltimore County.

WHEREAS, the County is and has been diligently pursuing
the development and adoption of a new Comprehensive Master
Plan and implementing growth management legislation, which
is a complex, difficult and time consuming effort which has
involved extensive staff, consultant, citizen and official
input and involvement; and

WHEREAS, the process of consideration and adoption of
said Plan and implementing legislation is in the very final
stages of completion; with a report and recommendation
having been made by the Planning Board to the County Council
together with consultants' recommended plan and legislation;
and
