RESOLUTION OF ANNEXATION

WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and
Council of the City of Taneytown to enlarge the corporate
boundaries of said City by the annexation of a parcel of
land contiguous to and adjoining the existing corporate
boundaries of said City; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a
verification of the signatures upon said Petition and have
ascertained that the persons signing the Petition represent
at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside
in the area to be annexed and who are registered voters in
County elections in the precinct in which the territory to
be annexed are located, and the owners of at least
twenty-five percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of the
real property located in the area to be annexed;

Carroll County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION
NO. 79-5

Resolution of the Council of the City of Taneytown,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland, and Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition, as amended, to
amend the existing Charter, as amended, of Taneytown and
enact new Amendments of the existing Charter.

604, 605, 715, and 626 of the Charter of the Town of
Taneytown, Carroll County, repealed and reenacted with
amendments,

Section 401(52) of the Charter of the Town of
