A RESOLUTION OF THE POCOMOKE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTED
PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE XI-E OF THE
CONSTITUTION OF MARYLAND, SECTION 13 OF ARTICLE 23A OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION) (1973 REPLACEMENT
VOLUME), TITLE "CORPORATIONS-MUNICIPAL", SUBTITLE "HOME
RULE", TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF POCOMOKE CITY BY AMENDING §
C-24 ENTITLED "GENERAL POWERS" BY MAKING EXPRESS PROVISION
FOR THE ENACTMENT OF A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR THE DEFENSE
AND INDEMNIFICATION OF MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES
AGAINST CERTAIN LEGAL ACTIONS.

Charter Amendment Resolution No. 004-79
Commissioners of Poolesville

A RESOLUTION of The Commissioners of Poolesville
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the 1957 Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and 1978 Supplement), title "Corporations-Municipal",
subtitle "Home Rule", to amend Section 82-15(i) of the
Montgomery County Code 1972 (1977 Replacement Volume), being
a part of the municipal charter of The Commissioners of
Poolesville, to expressly provide that The Commissioners of
Poolesville shall have the power, which shall be exercised
by resolution, to abate, cancel, compromise or rebate any
taxes levied in the form of special assessments for special
benefits conferred upon properties in the Town of
Poolesville as a result of the installation or construction
of water mains, sanitary sewer mains, storm water sewers,
curbs, gutters, public ways, and sidewalks in order to
correct erroneous and improper assessments and to prevent
injustice or inequity.
