RESOLUTION NO. 79-CR-2

A Resolution by the Mayor and Council of the City of
College Park, repealing Section 21 (Applicability of State
Public General Laws) of Article VII, all a part of the City
Charter, and reenacting Section 21 to provide rules which
more reasonably apply to College Park elections.

WHEREAS, these Election Codes of the State of Maryland
provide for fair and orderly elections, and

WHEREAS, certain elements of these State Election Codes
sometimes prove cumbersome when applied to a College Park
City election, and

WHEREAS, those rules which are unnecessarily cumbersome
might prove a deterrent to a qualified individual seeking
election to a College Park public office.

[Section 15-21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, repealed and added.

Effective Date June 27, 1979]

CHARTER AMENDMENT 79-2

A RESOLUTION AND ORDINANCE to Amend Sections 17-13(c)
and (d) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County, Maryland (1963 Edition), as amended 1969, titled
"Cottage City," and subtitled, "Ordinances; referenda;
enforcement" and subheaded "Fines" and "Enforcement of
penalties," being a part of the Charter of Cottage City,
Maryland, removing old limitations of $50 fines or 30 days
in jail.

[Section 17-13(c) and (d) of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition
and 1967 Supplement, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
