that Subsection C-27 of the Charter is amended by adding a
proviso to read as follows:

[Section ll-C-27 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION 1-79

Resolution of the Burgess and Commissioners of
Clearspring, Washington County, introduced and enacted
pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of Maryland
and of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

For the purpose of providing for compensation for the
Burgess, Assistant Burgess, and Commissioners; and ratifying
certain prior action relating to compensation.

[Section 6-3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

COLLEGE PARK

RESOLUTION NO. 79-CR-l

A resolution to repeal and reenact Section 40 of
Article XI of the College Park Charter pertaining to
enforcement of ordinances in order to designate violations
of City Ordinances as municipal infractions that are civil
in nature rather than criminal, while at the same time
retaining the right to designate other violations as
criminal misdemeanors.

WHEREAS, Section III of Article 23A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland permits municipalities to provide that
violations of ordinances are municipal infractions unless
the violation is declared to be a felony or a misdemeanor by
law or ordinance.

[Section 15-40 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, repealed and added.
