RESOLUTION
OF THE
MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF ANNAPOLIS
TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT
SECTION 27 - OF THE CITY CHARTER
Resolution of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E
of the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume
and Supplements), titled "Corporations-Municipal", to repeal
and re-enact Section 27 of the Charter of the City of
Annapolis for the purpose of establishing the amount of
retirement benefits due police officers and fire fighters
hired on or after August 1, 1979; re-enacting all other
provisions of Section 27 not inconsistent with this
amendment; and all matters relating generally thereto.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Charter Amendment
to provide a basis for revision of the retirement benefits
between the City and the police officers and fire fighters,
with a goal to be effective January 1, 1980;
[Section 27 of the Charter of the City of Annapolis,
Anne Arundel County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.

TO REPEAL IN ITS ENTIRETY
AND TO ENACT A NEW
SECTION 22 - OF THE CITY CHARTER
Resolution of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11-E
of the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article
23-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Replacement
Volume and Supplements), titled "Corporations-Municipal", to
repeal Section 22 in its entirety and to enact a new Section
22 for the purpose of establishing the manner in which
appointments in the fire department shall be made; and all
matters relating generally thereto.
[Section 22 of the Charter of the City of Annapolis,
Anne Arundel County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
Effective Date August 8, 1979]
