Council in the development of the
comprehensive employment and training
plan for its area; and
(6) perform such other duties and
functions as may be required by the
Comprehensive Employment and Training
Act, the amendments thereto and the
rules and regulations promulgated
thereunder.
(e) Special consideration shall be given
to the recommendations of the Planning
Council, but any final decision with
respect to such recommendations shall be
made by the Secretary of Human Resources;
5. The Balance of State Private Industry Council
(a) The Balance of State Private Industry
Council shall consist of 19 members
appointed by and serving at the pleasure of
the Governor. The Chairperson of the
Council shall be selected from among the
members of the Council, according to the
requirements of the comprehensive
employment and training act, any amendments
thereto and such rules and regulations as
are promulgated thereunder.
(b) The membership of the Balance of State
Private Industry Council shall be composed
of representatives of such groups as
required by Section 704(a)(1) of the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act,
as amended, and such rules and regulations
as may be promulgated thereunder. The
Chairperson of the Balance of State
Planning Council (or his designee) shall
serve as an ex officio, nonvoting member of
the Balance of State Private Industry
Council.
(c) The Balance of State Private Industry
Council shall be responsible for assisting
the State prime sponsor in the
implementation of the Private Sector
Initiative Program in accordance with
Section 705 of the Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act, as amended, and the
regulations promulgated thereunder; and
shall perform such other duties and
functions as may be required by the
