HARRY HUGHES, Governor

3347

This bill establishes the annual appropriation for
Program Open Space for fiscal year 1980.

House Bill 931, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 8, 1980 accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill

443.

Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor

Senate Bill No. 445
AN ACT concerning

Forests and Parks - Program Open Space - Baltimore City

FOR the purpose of repealing the time limit on the authority
of Baltimore City to use certain Program Open Space
funds for the maintenance and operation of recreational
facilities of the City under certain conditions.

May 27, 1980
Honorable James Clark, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 445.

This bill removes the time limit on the authority of
Baltimore City to use Program Open Space funds for

and operated by the City.

House Bill 942, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 22, 1980 accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
