respects as having the powers and obligations granted the
former agency.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
continuity of every department, board, commission,
committee, agency or other unit affected by this Act is
retained. The personnel, records, files, furniture and
fixtures and other properties and all appropriations,
credits, assets, liabilities, and obligations of each
retained unit are continued as the personnel, records,
files, furniture, fixtures, properties, appropriations,
credits, assets, liabilities, and obligations of the agency
under the laws enacted by this Act.

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect on July 1, 1980.

CHAPTER 857

(House Bill 1025)

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Liquor Control Board)

FOR the purpose of requiring the liquor control board for
Worcester County to charge licensees for the purchase
of wines and liquors except beer and light wine at a
certain percent of the retail price or any special sale
price or discount price, whichever is lower, set by the
board for the wines and liquors; clarifying language;
providing for the approval of certain successors
concerning the issuance of a certain license; and
permitting all licensees to buy beer and light wine
from licensed wholesalers.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

Section 19(y)(6), 20(m-l), 21(j)(6), 25(k-l), and 39B-1

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
