(1)  A WRITTEN APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE
BOARD REQUIRES;

(2)  THE EXECUTED ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND A
CONFORMED COPY;

(3)  THE PROPOSED BYLAWS;

(4)  ANY OTHER EXHIBITS THE BOARD REQUIRES; AND

(5)  A FILING FEE OF $750.

COMMITTEE COMMENT: This section replaces former CA §
6-208(a).

The phrase "To organize as a savings and loan
association" is added for clarity.

Item (1) of this section is new language implied
by the references in former CA § 6-208(c) and (e)
to a hearing that is held on the "application"
and reflects the present practice of the Board.

As to item (2) of this section, see § 9-204 of
this subtitle and its Committee Comment as to the
number of copies of the Articles of Incorporation
that are executed.

Items (3) and (4) are new language added to
reflect the present practice of the Board of
Commissioners.

See also § 9-216 of this subtitle relating to
initial accounts established by the
incorporators.

"Board of Commissioners" and "savings and loan
association" are defined in § 9-101 of this
title.

9-206. PUBLICATION OF FILING; HEARING SET.

(A) NOTICE AND HEARING.

(1)  ON RECEIPT OF THE ITEMS LISTED IN § 9-205 OF
THIS SUBTITLE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SHALL PUBLISH A
NOTICE OF THE FILING.

(2)  THE NOTICE SHALL STATE THAT:

(I)  A PUBLIC HEARING MAY BE HELD ON A DATE
THAT IS AT LEAST 30 DAYS AND NOT MORE THAN 60 DAYS AFTER THE
FILING;

(II)  WRITTEN PROTESTS TO THE APPLICATION
SHALL BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 10 DAYS BEFORE THE SCHEDULED
HEARING; AND
