AN ACT concerning

Orphans' Court Judges - Dorchester County -
Expense Allowance

FOR the purpose of increasing the expense allowance of
Orphans' Court Judges in Dorchester County by a certain
amount; and providing that, after a certain time, this
Act shall be null and void.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Estates and Trusts
Section 2-108(k)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Estates and Trusts

2-108.

(k) Each of the judges of the court for Dorchester
County shall receive an annual salary in the amount of $900.
Each judge shall also receive an allowance of [$10] $30 for
expenses for every day's attendance upon the sessions of the
court.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980. It shall remain effective
only during the term of Orphans' Court Judges in office on
July 1, 1980. At the beginning of the next following term
of office, the provisions of this Act shall be null and void
without the necessity of further action by the General
Assembly, and the expense allowance for the Judges of the
Orphans' Court of Dorchester county shall revert to $10 for
each day's attendance in court sessions.
