LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 830

(a) A Class D beer, wine and liquor license shall be
issued by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in
which the place of business is located, or by the clerk of
the Court of Common Pleas in Baltimore City, if the place of
business is located in [said] THE city. It shall authorize
the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic
beverages at retail at the place therein described, for
consumption on the premises or elsewhere. No [such]
license shall be issued for any drugstore. The annual fee
for [such a] THE license shall be [five hundred dollars
($500.00)] $500, except as hereinafter provided, and shall
be payable to the [said] clerk before any license is issued,
for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(L-l) IN SOMERSET COUNTY THE ANNUAL FEE FOR THIS
LICENSE IS $750 $1,000.

(m) [Such] THE licenses shall be issued only in
Baltimore City, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Caroline,
Charles, Cecil, Garrett, Howard, Kent, SOMERSET, St. Mary's
and Washington counties and in the towns of North Beach and
Chesapeake Beach in Calvert County and in the Town of Ocean
City in Worcester County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980. is declared to be an
emergency measure and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, it shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 831

(Senate Bill 626)

AN ACT concerning

Personal Property Tax Liens - Attachment

FOR the purpose of providing that unpaid personal property
taxes after a certain date shall become liens on the
real and personal property of the property owner;
providing a condition for the attachment of the liens;

and eliminating certain local variations in the

attachment of generally relating to the recording or
reporting of these liens.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
