discharge its responsibilities in the county. AT A RATE
AGREED UPON BY THE DIVISION AND BALTIMORE COUNTY, THE
DIVISION SHALL REIMBURSE BALTIMORE COUNTY FOR THE SPACE,
EQUIPMENT, AND FACILITIES PROVIDED THE DIVISION. THE
DIVISION OF PAROLE AND PROBATION OR THE DEPARTMENT OF
GENERAL SERVICES, OR BOTH, SHALL DETERMINE THE SUITABILITY
OF SPACE AND MAY RELOCATE PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE
DIVISION AND/OR THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES SHALL
RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RELOCATE THE DIVISION STAFF IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 41, SECTION 231G-1 OF THE CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(House Bill 921)

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt McGruder Magruder House

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of $300,000 $150,000, the proceeds to be
used as a grant to Prince George's Heritage Inc., to
assist Prince George's Heritage, Inc., for use in the
under the direction of the Maryland Historical Trust,
in the preservation, renovation and restoration of a
property, listed in the National Register of Historic
Places, known as McGruder Magruder House, subject to
the requirement that Prince George's Heritage, Inc.
provide up to a certain matching fund for the same
purpose by a certain date; and providing generally for
the issue and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and
incur indebtedness on behalf of the state of Maryland
through a State loan to be known as the McGruder Magruder
House Loan of 1980 in the aggregate principal amount of
$300,000 $150,000. This loan shall be evidenced by the
issuance and sale of State general obligation bonds
authorized by a resolution of the Board of Public Works and
issued, sold and delivered in accordance with the provisions
of §§ 19 to 23 of Article 31 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement, as
amended from time to time).
