SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
10-418.
(b) The Secretary may grant certificates to any
properly accredited person [18] 16 14 years of age or older
to take alive, train, and fly falcons, hawks, or owls. TO
OBTAIN THIS CERTIFICATE AN APPLICANT SHALL PAY A $5 FEE. To
obtain this certificate an applicant shall pay a $5 fee. The
certificate shall expire on June 30 of the issuing year. It
may not be transferred to another person, and the Secretary
may revoke it for cause at any time. A person may not
possess more than two of the enumerated birds in any
combination at any one time. In addition, a person may not
sell or offer for sale any falcons, hawks, or owls. The
enumerated birds shall be used for hunting game birds or
mammals only during open season. THE BIRDS ENUMERATED IN
THIS SECTION SHALL BE USED FOR HUNTING GAME BIRDS OR MAMMALS
ONLY DURING OPEN SEASON.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(House Bill 633)
AN ACT concerning
Creation of a State Debt -
Garrett County Jail
FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of $150,000, the proceeds to be used to
assist in the design, planning, construction, and
equipping of a jail facility in Garrett County, subject
to the provision by the County Commissioners of Garrett
County of at least an equal and matching fund for the
same purpose; and providing generally for the issue and
sale of bonds evidencing the loan.
