3.  HAS NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A
RELATED COMMERCIAL OR PROFESSIONAL FIELD, NOR HAS A
HOUSEHOLD MEMBER WHO PARTICIPATED IN A RELATED COMMERCIAL OR
PROFESSIONAL FIELD; AND

4.  HAS NOT WITHIN 2 YEARS PRIOR TO
APPOINTMENT NOR DURING THE TERM OF APPOINTMENT HAD A
FINANCIAL INTEREST IN AN INDIVIDUAL, ASSOCIATION,
UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION, CORPORATION, OR ANY OTHER ENTITY
WHICH IS REGULATED BY THE BOARD.

(3) A CONSUMER MEMBER MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN
ACTIVITIES RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS UNLESS APPROVED BY THE
BOARD.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

State Employees - Armed Services Reinstatement

FOR the purpose of providing that certain State employees
who were called to active duty during a certain period
shall be reinstated to certain classifications or
positions, under certain conditions.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Any State employee in either the classified or
unclassified service other than a temporary or emergency
employee as defined in § 24 of this article, WHO BY REASON
