(4) HAVE NOT WITHIN 2 YEARS PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT
NOR DURING THE TERM OF APPOINTMENT HAD A FINANCIAL INTEREST
IN AN INDIVIDUAL, ASSOCIATION, UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION,
CORPORATION, OR ANY OTHER ENTITY WHICH IS REGULATED BY THE
BOARD.

(C)  THE CONSUMER MEMBERS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN
ACTIVITIES RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS UNLESS APPROVED BY THE
BOARD.

(D)  THE CONSUMER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD SHALL BE
APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR WITH THE ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY
OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE AND THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF
THE SENATE.

(E)  THE INITIAL TERM OF ONE CONSUMER MEMBER SHALL BE 5
YEARS, AND THE INITIAL TERM OF THE OTHER CONSUMER MEMBER
SHALL BE 6 YEARS. A CONSUMER MEMBER MAY NOT SERVE MORE THAN
TWO FULL CONSECUTIVE TERMS.

Article - 43 Health

119.

(I) "FINANCIAL INTEREST" MEANS:

(1)  AN ASSET WITH A FAIR MARKET VALUE OF $1,000
OR MORE IN A CALENDAR YEAR; OR

(2)  A SOURCE OF INCOME OF $500 OR MORE IN A
CALENDAR YEAR.

(J) "HOUSEHOLD MEMBER" MEANS:

(1)  A PERSON'S SPOUSE, SON, DAUGHTER, WARD,
FINANCIALLY DEPENDENT PARENT, OR OTHER RELATIVE WHO SHARES
THE PERSON'S LEGAL RESIDENCE; OR

(2)  A PERSON'S SON, DAUGHTER, WARD, PARENT, OR
OTHER RELATIVE OVER WHOSE FINANCIAL AFFAIRS THE PERSON HAS
LEGAL OR ACTUAL CONTROL.

120.

The Board of Medical Examiners of the State of Maryland
is hereby established, as part of the Department of Health
and Mental Hygiene.

(1) It shall consist of TEN MEMBERS; eight
members elected by the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of
the State of Maryland. Two PHYSICIAN members to be elected
by the faculty each year. Their terms shall commence first
day of June next following their election. [The Board of
Medical Examiners of the State of Maryland, as constituted
on June 30, 1970, shall continue as constituted at that
time, with each member serving for the remainder of the time
for which he was selected.] UPON THE ADVICE OF THE
