compensation of [forty dollars ($40.00)] $65 per day for
each election day. In Prince George's County, judges shall
be paid at the rate of [seventy-five dollars ($75.00)] $75
per day for two chief judges and [fifty dollars ($50.00)]
$50 per day for judges, for each election day actually
served. In Washington County, chief judges shall be paid $45
per day for each election day, plus a mileage allowance as
determined by the board; judges shall be paid $35 per day
for each election day; and guards shall be paid $25 per day
for each election day.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning
Handicapped Children - Admission, Review, and Dismissal
Committee
FOR the purpose of providing that parents of a child who may
be classified as handicapped shall be permitted
notified and advised of the right to attend of certain
meetings of an Admission, Review, and Dismissal
Committee; and providing that the meetings shall be
open to the parents.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, adding

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article - Education
8-404.
(a) After the State Board adopts standards under §
8-403 of this subtitle, each county board promptly shall
develop a plan to provide special educational services in
accordance with these standards.
