AN ACT concerning
Elections - Compensation for Baltimore City
Election Judges
FOR the purpose of altering the compensation received by
election judges in Baltimore City; requiring that
Baltimore City election judges, subject to certain
exceptions, take a certain course of instruction and
making stylistic changes.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 33 - Election Code
Section 2-7(f)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
Article 33 - Election Code
2-7.
(f) Each board shall have power to fix the
compensation of judges within the limits of the amounts
authorized for this purpose by the county commissioners,
county council or the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
as the case may be, provided that compensation shall not be
less than [twenty dollars ($20.00)] $20 per day for each day
actually served. In Allegany County the compensation shall
not be less than [thirty dollars ($30.00)] $30 per day for
each day actually served. In Baltimore City, the
compensation of judges of elections shall be [fifty dollars
($50.00)] $75 per day for each election day; except that
judges who have not received AND ALL JUDGES, EXCEPT THOSE
JUDGES APPOINTED UNDER EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES, SHALL BE
REQUIRED TO RECEIVE the course of instruction prescribed by
the board of supervisors of elections shall have
