County Fair shall be exempt from taxation; AND (4)
AGRICULTURAL LAND LOCATED WITHIN AN AGRICULTURAL
PRESERVATION DISTRICT. THIS CREDIT DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE LAND.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Chemical Manufacturing

FOR the purpose of clarifying the prohibition of chemical
manufacturing in St. Mary's County in order to permit
the manufacturing of alcohol fuel; and clarifying
language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 66B - Zoning and Planning

Section 4.01(c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 66B - Zoning and Planning

4.01.

(c) (1) In St. Mary's County, land and buildings may
not be used for chemical or catalytic manufacturing,
chemical fabrication, gasoline processing, or refining of
petroleum or petroleum products.

(2) This prohibition does not apply to land and
buildings IF THEY WERE used [for these purposes on July 23,
1974]:

(I) ON OR BEFORE JULY 23, 1974, FOR
CHEMICAL OR CATALYTIC MANUFACTURING, CHEMICAL FABRICATION,
GASOLINE FABRICATION, GASOLINE PROCESSING, OR REFINING OF
PETROLEUM OR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS; OR
