SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

126.

(d) Notwithstanding the provisions of § 114 or of any
other contrary provisions of this article, the possession of
alcoholic beverages upon the premises of a licensee under
the provisions of this article is not unlawful under any of
the following conditions:

(5) WHEN A DANCE OR SOCIAL EVENT IS HELD ON THE
PREMISES OF A CLASS C LICENSEE BY A MEMBER OF THE CLUB, OR
BY A GUEST SPONSORED BY A CLUB MEMBER.

181.

(b) In Harford County, it is unlawful for any person
under 21 years of age OR UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE IN THE CASE
OF BEER AND LIGHT WINE, to attempt to purchase any alcoholic
beverages or to drink, or have in his or her possession, any
alcoholic beverages, [except beer and light wine,] in any

public place or on any public highway. The provisions of

this section do not apply to bona fide employees in the
course of their employement and whose employment is not

prohibited by this article. Any person violating the

provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine not
exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) for each and every such
violation.

(B) (1) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLY TO
HARFORD COUNTY.

(2) IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON UNDER 18 YEARS
OF AGE TO:

(I)      PURCHASE OR ATTEMPT TO PURCHASE ANY
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; OR

(II)      DRINK OR HAVE IN HIS OR HER
POSSESSION ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE.
