AN ACT concerning

Crownsville Hospital Center - Citizens Advisory
Board Membership

FOR the purpose of increasing the membership of the citizens
advisory board for the Crownsville Hospital Center;
specifying the terms of the additional members; and
providing a residency requirement for a certain number
of the members of the board.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 59 - Mental Hygiene

32A.

(a) (3) AFTER JULY 1, 1980, THE CROWNSVILLE HOSPITAL
CENTER SHALL HAVE TWO ADDITIONAL MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE
GOVERNOR FROM AMONG NAMES SUBMITTED BY THE SECRETARY.

(b) (1) Members of the board shall be citizens of the
State who are residents of the county or City of Baltimore,
as the case may be, in the region served by each facility.
The board as a whole shall adequately reflect the
composition of the community served by the facility. At
least two members of each board shall be parents or
relatives of patients, or former patients, of that facility
or of a similar State facility. The remaining members shall
