AN ACT concerning

Wildlife - Hunting Licenses - Antlerless Deer Permits

FOR the purpose of removing modifying the preference given
county residents in obtaining an antlerless deer permit
to hunt in his the county of residence; and providing
that State residents shall receive first consideration
for an antlerless deer permit over nonresidents of the
State.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

10-308.

(e) Unless expressly exempted under this section, [a
resident of any county in this State shall receive first
consideration for an antlerless deer permit to hunt in his
county of residence, and] a State resident shall receive
FIRST consideration for [this] AN ANTLERLESS DEER permit
ever any non-resident of the State.

(e) Unless expressly exempted under this section, [a
resident] THE RESIDENTS of any county in this State shall
receive first consideration for [an] 50 75 PERCENT OF THE
antlerless deer [permit] PERMITS to hunt in [his] THE county
of residence, and a State resident shall receive FIRST
consideration for this permit over any nonresident of the
State FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PERMITS TO BE ISSUED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
