BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Natural Resources
Section 8-708(d)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

8-708.

(d) In addition to the methods of financing provided
in subsections (a) and (b) of this section, a governing body
may borrow interest-free funds from the Waterway Improvement
Fund for a waterway improvement project within a waterway
improvement district[, provided however, that]. HOWEVER,

the amount borrowed for any single project [shall] MAY

not exceed [$75,000] 25 PERCENT OF THE AMOUNT OF THE

MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL TAX PAID FOR THE WATERWAY IMPROVEMENT
FUND THE AMOUNT BORROWED FROM THE WATERWAY IMPROVEMENT FUND
FOR THESE DISTRICTS SHALL NOT EXCEED 21 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL
ATTAINED REVENUE OF THE WATERWAY IMPROVEMENT FUND FROM THE
PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR. NO SINGLE PROJECT SHALL EXCEED 7
PERCENT OF THE TOTAL ATTAINMENT. The governing body shall
repay the funds at a uniform rate over a period not to
exceed 25 years as provided by agreement between the State
and the governing body.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Human Relations Commission - Final Orders
State Employees

FOR the purpose of deleting a certain appeal procedure
within the Maryland Human Relations Commission; and
providing that findings of fact and conclusion of law
of hearing examiner are final orders of the Human
Relations Commission eliminating certain requirements
