FOR the purpose of altering the education and experience
requirements for certain individuals who may practice
certain medical specialties in this State without a
license.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 43 - Health

Section 122(b)(8)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1979 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

122.

(b) The following persons may practice without a
license, but subject to rules, regulations and orders of the
Board and Commission:

(8) An individual who has received a master's
degree from an accredited college or university, including
completion of a graduate program in a behavioral science
which included 1,000 hours of supervised clinical
psychotherapy experience acceptable to the Board, OR
COMPARABLE EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE AS APPROVED BY THE BOARD,
AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS RECEIVED A BACCALAUREATE DEGREE FROM
AN ACCREDITED 4 YEAR UNIVERSITY OR COLLEGE AND HAS 4,000
HOURS OF SUPERVISED CLINICAL PSYCHOTHERAPY EXPERIENCE AS
APPROVED BY THE BOARD, under the supervision of a licensed
psychiatrist.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Waterway Improvement Fund - Borrowing Funds

FOR the purpose of altering the method of limiting the
maximum amount of funds that a governing body in this
State may borrow from the Waterway Improvement Fund;
and clarifying language.
