SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 32 - Dentistry

6.

(a) Every person licensed by the Board to practice
dentistry in Maryland shall annually, before April 1st, be
required to register his name, license number, dental
degree, school of graduation, year of graduation, office
location and telephone number, and state whether or not he
is in active practice, on a form furnished by the Board of
Dental Examiners. He shall pay a fee SET BY THE BOARD OF AT
LEAST $5 BUT not to exceed [five dollars ($5.00)] $25 for
such registration, and the Board shall issue a certificate
of registration which shall be kept in the office location
as noted on his certificate.

28A.

(A) IF AN APPLICANT IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE DENTAL
HYGIENE IN ANY OTHER STATE, THE BOARD OF DENTAL EXAMINERS
MAY WAIVE THE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE AND
ISSUE A LIMITED LICENSE IF THE APPLICANT:

(1)  IS A GRADUATE OF A SCHOOL OF DENTAL HYGIENE
REQUIRING AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF STUDY THAT IS APPROVED BY THE
BOARD;

(2)  HAS BEEN ACTIVE AS A DENTAL HYGIENIST FOR 5
YEARS PRECEDING THIS APPLICATION;

(3)  BECOMES A FULL-TIME FACULTY MEMBER OF A
DENTAL SCHOOL AND TEACHES A REQUIRED SUBJECT OF THAT SCHOOL;
