(KK) (1) IN THIS SECTION, "CHECK" AND "INSUFFICIENT
FUNDS" HAVE THE MEANINGS STATED IN § 140 OF ARTICLE 27 OF
THIS CODE.

(2)  IN WASHINGTON COUNTY, THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS MAY LEVY A FEE FOR EACH CHECK THAT IS
PRESENTED IN PAYMENT OF ANY OBLIGATION TO WASHINGTON COUNTY
AND IS DISHONORED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT FUNDS.

(3)  THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL DETERMINE THE
AMOUNT OF THIS FEE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(House Bill 1179)

AN ACT concerning

Credit Unions

FOR the purpose of making establishing certain provisions as
to openings and closings of a banking institution
applicable to credit unions; and granting the Governor
authority in an emergency to proclaim a day for the
general cessation of business for a credit union
requiring that hours of operation be posted; and
generally relating to the hours and days on which a
credit union shall be open.
