(3) PROCEDURES, MANNER, AND CIRCUMSTANCES MUST
BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LEGAL AUTHORITY GRANTED TO THE

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Allegany County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Container Size and Metric Equivalent)

FOR the purpose of altering the size designation of certain
liquor containers in Allegany County; adding the metric
equivalent to this size designation; and making this
Act an emergency measure.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

(b) (2) In Allegany County the holder of a Class 1 or
Class 2 wholesaler's license may not sell liquor in any size
container smaller than [4/5 quart] 23 OUNCES OR 680
MILLILITERS to any holder or a special permit issued under §
25(1) of this article.

25.

(1) In Allegany County, the board of license
commissioners may issue a special permit to holders of Class
D beer and Class D beer and light wine licenses, that allows
the sale of beer, wine and liquor by the drink for
