provided and placed at each electrical station, substation,
transformer station, and permanent pump station out of the
area of smoke in case of a fire in the station.

(c)  After every blasting operation, an examination
shall be made to determine if any fire has started. If a
fire occurs, the person discovering it and any person in its
vicinity promptly shall attempt to extinguish it. If the
person cannot extinguish the fire, he immediately shall
report its existence to a competent official of the mine.
The official shall order all workers from that part of the
mine affected by the fire, except those needed for fire
fighting.

(d)  If the fire gets out of control, workers shall be
withdrawn and the whole or part of the mine which is
affected shall be sealed or flooded, as conditions require.
Every fire-fighting operation is under the direct
supervision of the mine foreman or a designated assistant
who shall consult with the district mine inspector.

(e)  Underground structures, such as transformer
stations, battery-charging stations, motor generator
stations, foremen's stations, substations, and permanent
pump rooms, shall be of fireproof construction. Fireproofing
material in contact with timber or coal shall not be metal.

(f)  Rheostats, electric heaters, and resistors shall
be located a safe distance from any combustible material.

(g)  Where practicable underground power wires shall be
de-energized on any idle day or shift.

(h) The Bureau shall establish procedures to be
followed if there is a mine fire or explosion.]

A fireproof underground storage place shall be provided
for oil and grease in excess of two days' supply. Oil and
grease kept in a face region or other working place shall be
in a portable, closed, metal container.]

7-450.

[(a) Adequate equipment shall be kept at each mine
near the mouth. The equipment shall be sufficient for the
number of persons employed, as required by the Bureau. It
shall be used in caring for any person injured in or about
the mine, and for taking him to his home or a hospital.

(b)  If a person receives any injury in or about any
mine, the mine foreman shall immediately see that the
injured person receives adequate medical attention.

(c)  If the Governor, on the recommendation of the
Commissioner of Labor and Industry approves, the Bureau may
