THE RETAIL OUTLET FROM ALL DIRECTIONS AT SUCH DISTANCE AS
THE COMPTROLLER BY REGULATION SHALL DETERMINE.

(2) THE COMPTROLLER SHALL PROMULGATE REGULATIONS
TO IMPLEMENT THIS SUBSECTION. EACH RETAIL SERVICE STATION
DEALER SHALL MAINTAIN AN OVERHEAD A SIGN ON THE PREMISES
WHICH STATES THE LOWEST CURRENT PRICE PER GALLON WHOLE
MEASUREMENT UNIT OF LEADED REGULAR AND UNLEADED REGULAR
GASOLINE SOLD ON THE PREMISES. THE SIGN SHALL STATE THE
UNIT OF MEASUREMENT EMPLOYED. EACH SIGN SHALL BE LOCATED SO
AS TO BE READABLE BY PASSING MOTORISTS.

(2)  ALL NUMERALS ON THE SIGN SHALL BE UNIFORM
AND SHALL BE AT LEAST 8 INCHES HIGH, BE AT LEAST 3 1/2
INCHES WIDE, AND HAVE A BRUSH STROKE OF AT LEAST ONE INCH.
NUMERALS IN FRACTIONS, AND LETTERS, SHALL BE AT LEAST 2 1/2
INCHES HIGH ONE THIRD THE HEIGHT OF THE WHOLE NUMERALS.

(3)  IF NEW OR ADDITIONAL SIGNS ARE REQUIRED TO
COMPLY WITH THIS SUBSECTION, THE SUPPLIER OF FUEL SHALL
PROVIDE THE SIGN AND NUMERALS WITHOUT COST, AND THE DEALER
SHALL PROVIDE NUMERALS.

(4)  (I) THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY
RETAIL SERVICE STATION DEALER OPERATING WITH SIX NOZZLES OR
THREE PUMPS DISPENSING GASOLINE, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

(II) THIS SUBSECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO THE
SALE OF GASOHOL.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July l, 1980.

Maryland Pharmacy Assistance Program and
the Maryland Medical Assistance Program

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the Maryland pharmacy
assistance program and the Maryland medical assistance
program from reimbursing providers for items that have
not been are currently determined to be effective
ineffective by the United States Food and Drug
Administration.
