SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

5-217.

A PERSON MAY NOT DISPOSE OF RAW SLUDGE SEWAGE OR SOLID
WASTES, AS DEFINED IN ARTICLE 43, §§ 387 AND 387C OF THE
CODE, RESPECTIVELY, ON ANY PROPERTY OWNED BY THE STATE AND
MANAGED BY THE DEPARTMENT ON STATE PARK LAND OR STATE FOREST
LAND, UNLESS THE DISPOSAL IS PART OF A PROGRAM DESIGNED AND
OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES OR THE
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(House Bill 88)

AN ACT concerning

Emergency Medical Treatment - Disabled Person's Consent

FOR the purpose of defining certain terms; permitting a
licensed physician to treat a disabled person without
the person's consent under certain circumstances; and
limiting the liability of a physician based on his
treatment of certain persons and the penalities that
may be imposed on the basis of treatment provided to a
disabled person who lacks capacity to consent to that
treatment.
