AN ACT concerning

Individual and Group Health Insurance

FOR the purpose of requiring claim forms for use under
certain individual and group health insurance policies
to conform to certain standards; and directing the
Insurance Commissioner to make certain forms or rules
a to certain insurance claim forms.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

437.

Nothing in this subtitle shall apply to or affect:

(2) Any group or blanket policy except as to [§
438A] SECTIONS 438A AND 438B of this article.

438B.

(A) IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A STANDARD SYSTEM OF PAYMENT
FOR MEDICAL SERVICES. ALL CLAIM FORMS FOR ANY CLAIMANTS' USE
UNDER ANY INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY ISSUED
OR DELIVERED IN THIS STATE SHALL CONFORM TO A FORM OR RULES
MADE BY THE COMMISSIONER
