AVAILABLE BY THE BUDGET AND DO ANY OTHER ACTS NECESSARY TO
CARRY OUT THIS SUBHEADING.
266-II-4.
THE COUNCIL IS AN ADVISORY BODY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND ASSISTS THE
DEPARTMENT IN DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING A PROGRAM TO
PROMOTE THE PRODUCTION OF MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION
WITHIN THIS STATE. THIS PROGRAM IS A RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
OFFICE AND INCLUDES:
(1) THE PREPARATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF
APPROPRIATE PROMOTIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS POINTING
OUT DESIRABLE LOCATIONS WITHIN THE STATE FOR THE PRODUCTION
OF MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION, EXPLAINING THE BENEFITS
AND ADVANTAGES OF PRODUCING MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION
WITHIN THE STATE, AND DETAILING THE SERVICES AND ASSISTANCE
AVAILABLE WITHIN STATE GOVERNMENT AS WELL AS SERVICES
AVAILABLE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL AND WITHIN THE INDUSTRY;
(2) ASSISTING MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION
COMPANIES TO SECURE LOCATION PERMITS AND OTHER APPROPRIATE
SERVICES CONNECTED WITH MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION
PRODUCTION; AND
(3) FACILITATING COOPERATION FROM LOCAL
GOVERNMENT, STATE, AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND
PRIVATE SECTOR GROUPS IN THE LOCATION AND PRODUCTION OF
MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION.

THE COUNCIL OFFICE SHALL SHALL COORDINATE SHE WITH
ACTIVITIES OF SIMILAR OFFICES, COUNCILS OR BOARDS APPOINTED
BY ANY LOCAL GOVERNMENTS WITHIN THIS STATE FOR ANY OF THE
PURPOSES OF THIS SUBHEADING.

THE COUNCIL SHALL RECOMMEND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ANY LEGISLATIVE OR
ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE
POSITION OF THE STATE'S MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION
INDUSTRY IN THE NATIONAL AND WORLD MARKET.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

on January 9, 1980, and in the Senate on January 16,
1980.
