SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-604.

(b)  (1) [For the purpose of] IN this section, [a
resident] "RESIDENT" means a person who resides in [the
State] THIS STATE on the date he applies for a license.

(2) [A] "RESIDENT" INCLUDES A member of the
Armed Forces of the United States who is on active duty and
stationed officially in [the State] THIS STATE [is
considered a resident for the purpose of this section].

(c)  Any person 16 years [of age or over] OLD OR OLDER
shall secure an angler's license to fish in the nontidal
waters of the State. An angler's license entitles the
holder to fish in the nontidal waters of the State only
during the open season.

(g) (1) Resident, under 65 years [of age] OLD...$4.50

(2)  Resident, 65 years [of age] OLD or
older.................................[$1.00] NO FEE

(3)  Nonresident — short term license valid for
7 consecutive days from late of issuance.............$4.50

(4)  Nonresident, regular license..........$10.50

(5)  Resident of West Virginia, District of
Columbia or Virginia — specific license to fish in Potomac
River................ .....................$4.50

(6)  Complimentary license.................No fee

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
