(4) The Commission shall direct payment from the real estate
guaranty fund of whatever sum it shall find to be payable
upon the claim if the Commission is satisfied, upon the
hearing, of the truth of all matters. (5) If [said] THE
Commission pays from [said] THE fund any amount in
settlement of a claim against a licensed real estate broker
or real estate salesman pursuant to an order under this
section, the license of the broker or salesman shall be
automatically revoked and no such broker or salesman shall
be eligible to receive a new license until he has repaid in
full, plus interest at the rate of [four] 10 percent a year,
the amount paid from [said] THE guaranty fund on his
account. A discharge in bankruptcy shall not relieve a
person from the penalties and disabilities provided in this
subsection. (6) If, at any time, the money deposited in
[said] THE guaranty fund is insufficient to satisfy any duly
authorized claim or portion thereof, [said] THE Commission
[shall], when sufficient money has been deposited in [said]
THE guaranty fund. SHALL satisfy such unpaid claims or
portions thereof, in the order that such claims or portions
thereof were originally filed, plus accumulated interest at
the rate of [four] 10 percent a year.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

(Senate Bill 498)

AN ACT concerning

Notice of Litigation to Counties by State Agencies
Assessment Appeals

FOR the purpose of requiring certain State agencies and
other units of the State government to notify the legal
officer of a county or Baltimore City of certain
pending litigation to which they are a party; and
authorizing the county legal officer to enter the
county's appearance in the litigation the Department of
Assessment and Taxation to notify the appropriate legal
officer of a county or Baltimore City of appeals filed
with the local Supervisor of Assessments when the
amount of the proposed full cash value of the property
is in excess of a certain amount.
