AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland - Housing Facilities

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 567 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1978 to extend the authority of the
University of Maryland to borrow certain money for
developing and maintaining certain student housing to
include borrowing certain money for constructing,
reconstructing, equipping, and maintaining housing
units for students enrolled at the University of
Maryland, in its schools, colleges, divisions,
institutes, branches, and departments in College Park,
Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Princess Anne;
requiring that additional housing facilities be
consistent with certain plans; requiring certain
approval; and making a technical correction.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General
Assembly be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

MARYLAND, That:

1. Housing Facilities - Definitions.

(a)  In this Act, the following words have the meaning
indicated, unless otherwise indicated by the context.

(b)  "Resolution" means a resolution adopted by a
majority of the members of the board of regents of the
University of Maryland.

(c) "Cost" includes, as applied to any project, the
cost of construction, the cost of the acquisition of all
