AN ACT concerning

District Court Judges - District 10

FOR the purpose of altering the number of District Court
Associate Judges in District 10 (Howard and Carroll
Counties); and correcting an error.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 1-603(b)(10)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

1-603.

(b) In each of the districts provided for in § 1-602
of this [article] SUBTITLE, there shall be the following
number of associate judges of the District Court:

(10) District 10—[4, two to be appointed from
each county] 5, TWO TO BE APPOINTED FROM CARROLL COUNTY AND
THREE TO BE APPOINTED FROM HOWARD COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
