    In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Marley of Kent —
    County in this State of Maryland being very sick and weak in
   Body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God
   for the same, but calling to mind the certainty of death, and the
   uncertainty of this transitory life, do therefore commit my Body to
   the Earth to be buryed in Christian like and decent manner
   at the discretion of my Exer hereafter named, and my Soul into the
   hands of God that gave it, and as touching such Worldly Goods Estate
   it has pleased the Almighty God to bless me with in this life I —
   therefore dispose of the same in the following manner. ——
   Imprimis first of all my Will is that all my Just debts + funeral –
   charges be paid out of my Estate by my Exrs. —
   Item I give and bequeath to my Grand Child Rebecca Marley the Sum
   of Twenty shillings common money —
   Item I give + bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Priscilla Marley
   Daughter of Abraham the Sum of thirty shillings Specie —
                                                                                 Martha Conner
   Item I give + bequeath unto my dearly beloved daughter^ wife of James Conner
   the Residue + remainder of my whole Worldly Estate Real + personal to her &
   her heirs for ever. Lastly I constitute make & ordain James Conner my Son
   in Law whole & sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament disallowing &
   Revoking all former Wills & Testaments by me heretofore made, Ratifying +
   Confirming this and no other to be my last Will & Testament. In Witness whereof
   I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this Twentyeth day of July in the
   year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred + Eighty four . 1784. ——

   August. 28th. 1784 Then came William Dodson + Thomas Wells two of the
   Subscribing Witnesses to the within Will and Testament of Elizabeth
   Marley late of Kent County deced, and made Oath on the Holy Evangels of
   Almighty God, that they did See the Testator therein named Sign + Seal this
   Will and that they heard her publish pronounce + declare the same
