     In the name of God Amen this 23 day of September in
   year of our Lord 1781 I John MacNiel Cainwhitten in the County of
   Kent and State of Maryland Farmer being very sick and weakin Body
   but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God for the same
   and calling to mind the Mortallity of thy Body, and knowing that
   it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last
   Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all, I give
   and recommend my Soul into the hands of God that give all, and
 ^for my Body I recommend^itto the earth to be buryed in a Christian —
   like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix —
   nothing doubting but at the General Resurection I shall receive ~
   the same^againby the mighty power of God; And as touching such Worldly
   Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life —
   I give, devise, and dispose of the same in manner & form following,
   that is to say,   In the first place I give and bequeath to my dearly
   beloved Wife Bridget MacNiel my whole Estate Real and Personal
   so long as she Continues a Widow for the benefit of her and my ~
   Children Archibald and John who are to be properly Educated ~
   and put to trades when they arrive to the age of Sixteen years, And
   if my wife Marrys then to return to her thirds, the other two –
   parts to be equally divided betwixt my two Sons Archibald and
   John and case of the death of either the Survivor to have both —
   shares, and in case both die, then I give and bequeath the whole
   Estate to my Bridget MacNiel, I give and bequeath to Rebecca —
   MacNiel five pounds to buy a Mourning Ring, if she comes —
   in person herself to demand it, And I do hereby Constitute + appoint
   my dear Wife Bridget MacNiel to be my sole Executrix of this my
   last Will and Testament revoking and Annulling all former wills
   by me heretofore made ratyfying and Confirming this & none ~
   other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have ~
   hereunto set my hand + fixed my Seal
