      I had directed my Son William to Lease to her, And I do direct
   my Executors mentioned in my Will to lay out the Sum of twenty Pou=
 =nds Current money in repairing the said House and making it a Comfortable
   Reception for my said Wife and that they charge my Personal Estate therewith
   I do hereby continue to my Son William all the Estate other Powers and
   Authorities with which he was invested in and by the foregoing Codicil, ~
   and desire they may be used and exercised agreably to the plain and
   manifest Intention of the said Codicil, and except only as to the Convey=
   ance to John Lynch which is now unnecessary. I Testimony whereof I ~
   have hereunto Set my Hand and affixed my Seal this twenty sixth day
   of Decembey 1786 —   —

   and EphraimndVansant Jun,r the three Subscribing Witnesses to the
   within Second Codicil of the last Will and Testament of Robert
   Maxwell late of Kent County deced and Severally made Oath on
   the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did see the Testator
   thereing Named sign and Seal this Second Codicil to his last Will
   and Testament, and that they heard him Publish Pronounce and
   Declare the same to be a Second Codicil to his last will & Testament
   that at the Time of his so doing he was to the best of their Apprehen
  = sions of Sound and disposing mind Memory and understanding
   and that they Subscribed their Names to this Second Codicil in the
   Presence and at the Request of the Testator and in the Presence of each other
