    Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared by the —
   Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of
   us who have hereto Subscribed our Names as Witnesses in the presence
   of the Testator and at his Request, — Turbut Wright, —
    Jacob Richardson, Saml. M.cDowell, ——

    January 18th. 1787 Then Came Turbut Wrigh, Jacob Richardson
   and Samel. Mc.Dowell the Three Subscribing witnesses to the within
   last Will and Testament of Robert Maxwell late of Kent County deceased
   and Severally made Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that
   they did see the Testator therein Named sign and Seal this Will, and
   that they heard him publish pronounce, and declare the Same to be –
   his last Will and Testament, and that at the Time of his so doing he –
   was to the Best of their Apprehensions of Sound and disposing
   mind Memory and Understanding, and that^theyRespectively Subscribed
   their Names as witnesses to this Will in the presence and at the
   Request of the Testator and in the presence of each other, ——
                                                          Before Jno, Nicholson Regr—

    Whereas I Robert Maxwell of Kent County have made and duly
   executed my last Will and Testament in Writing bearing date the twelfth
   day of January seventeen Hundred and Eighty five which said Testament
   and last Will (except such part or parts as may be hereby altered and
   changed, I do hereby ratify and confirm and being desirous to alter some
   parts thereof and make Additions thereto do therefore hereby make this
   my Codicil which I will and direct shall be taken and held as part —
   of my said last Will and Testament in Manner and form following
   to wit – Whereas since the making and excuting my said Will I have purch=
 = ased from a certain Charles Irons a Lott or parcel of Ground with the —
   Appurtinances lying and being in Kent County and at a place heretofore
   called Downes, but now Henrys Cross Roads for the Conveyance of which –
   said Lott or parcel of Ground with the Appurtenances I have obtain’d
