    In the Name of God Amen, I. James Chappel —
   of Kent County and State of Maryland being weak of Body but
   of Sound mind and Memory do make this my last will and —
   Testament in Manner and form as Followeth — ——
   I Give into my Sisters Eldest doughter Mary Swell my Trunk
   I Give unto my Sisters daughter Sary Swell my Silver Buckels
   Item I Give into my Sister daughter Elizabeth Swell as much
   Money as will make her equal with the other that^hasthe Trunk
   Item I Give into John Swell my Brother in law my Saddle &
   Bridle, new Great Coat, Broad cloth Coat, Cordurory Vest and
   Breeches, likewise my Jane Vest and Breeches, a pair of boots
   and two pair of Shues, Item I Give into my father John Chapple
   my everyday Coot vest and Breches also a par of Ticking Breeches
   a pair of Jane and a par of loother[?] breches, and one Shilling Sterling
   and no more —- Item I Give unto Benjamin Kelly my Sagathy[?] coat
   lastly i give all my Estate after my Just debts are paid that is not
   alread willd to be equally divided between John Sewels three —
   daughters Mary, Sary, and Elizabeth Swell – I nominate & appoint
   John Sewell my Executer of this my last will and Testament hereby revok=
 = ing all others in witness whereof i have hereunto set my hand & Seal this
   Eighteents day of March one thousand seven hundred & eighty six

     Signed Sealed published and delivered by James Chapple the Testator
     before us — Thos. Medford, Phillip Drugan, ——
    June 22nd, 1786 Then came Phillip Drugan one of the Subscribing Witnesses to the
   within last will and Testament of James Chapple late of Kent County deced & made
   oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that he did See the Testator therein
   Named Sign and Seal this will, & that he heard him publish pronounce & declare the
   same to be his last will & Testament, that at the time of his so doing he was to the best
   of his Knowledge of Sound & disposing mind memory & understanding & that —
   Thomas Medford the other Subscribing^Witnesswas present at the same time & Signed
   his Name as a Witness to this will together with this deponant in the presence
   & at the request of the Testator & in the presence of each other         \-\-\
